Family Literacy Week
JANUARY 26 - FEB 1
This week is "Family Literacy Week" across our province. One of the activities our school is doing that would have been shared out through classroom messages and has been advertised to students by our "PAWS Picks" literacy team is coming up this Friday, January 30th. Students are invited to dress up as a favourite book character and families are invited from 8:40-9:00am to read around the school. If your child chooses to dress up, please remember to leave accessories to these literary costumes such as masks and toy weapons at home.
Attached, please find a new document from our district that will be coming home each month on a go forward basis. This document is the "Literacy Link" newsletter. This year's literacy week is focused on ways to make meal time literacy focused. You may not realize all the ways you are already supporting your student's literacy growth-- check it out & hope to see you this Friday!
